I can say this. It&#039;s different than what I&#039;ve been receiving. Lot&#039;s of Tweeps are using the generic DM. &quot;Thanks for the follow, check me out here&quot; with a url link. At least you offered something different. And I think it&#039;s worth noting that you did one more thing different. You actually follow up. You DM me that my comment was posted, which gives me another reason to revisit your site.

This is a good example of focused marketing. Sometimes businesses/people focus on getting the first click, but they are not sure how to get the same clicks back to their site.

Even better! I already see another article I&#039;d like to read. So there you go, three clicks from me maybe more as I see more things I&#039;d like to read.

You&#039;re experiment is a success, assuming your primary goal is traffic.
