Last December I realized that I made a big mistake with JuniorBiz.
I’ve talked to hundreds of high school and middle school students and I found that most of them are curious about entrepreneurship but very few are serious about it. They all want to start businesses “someday.”
I want to help people start businesses right now. Not just help them think about doing it. So I created a site that’s designed to help the 20-something entrepreneur become a successful entrepreneur. I call it 14 Clicks.
About 14 Clicks
14clicks.com officially launched March 14th, 2011.
The name comes from the fact that it takes 14 clicks to reserve your business name and register your LLC. That’s the easy part.
I want to help people with the hard parts: getting customers, building your website, becoming profitable, and growing to the point that you can walk away from it. I want to help people become successful entrepreneurs.
This is what I call the second “14 Clicks.”
First-Month Stats
The official launch date was March 14th but I spent the first few weeks fixing bugs and finalizing the design. So it unofficially launched on April 1st.
These are the first-month stats from April 1st – May 1st.
- Unique Visitors: 1,034 (Goal 1,000)
- Pageviews: 2,078 (Goal 2,000)
- Pages/Visit: 2.01
- Bounce Rate: 63.93%
- Average Time on Site: 2:29
- % New Visits: 62.19%

In addition to launching the new site, I wrote another book, Get Started with Entrepreneurship: Everything You Need to Know to Become a Successful Young Entrepreneur.
In it I gathered just about everything I know about starting a business to lay down a process for becoming a successful young entrepreneur.
Here are a few things you’ll learn:
- How to choose the perfect idea and dramatically increase the odds of its success from the outset.
- Where you’ll find your first customers and how to reach them with the golden sales pitch.
- A checklist to see if all systems are ready for launch and the best ways to maximize sales in the first week of your business.
- Everything you need to know about the legalities of running a business and how to pay taxes as an entrepreneur.
- The truth about the entrepreneur’s role and the only five ways to grow your business.

Well done Nicholas! I like the way you’re trying to help young people like you succeed.
I appreciate it, Joseph! I can’t help it. Do you have any questions with your business?
That’s a nice way to help the young entrepreneurs to realize their dream. It’s never to early to start. Having your own company and brand definitely will motivate most people.
Hey Andrew… I figure if young people just get started with entrepreneurship, it’ll have the snow-ball effect and they won’t be able to imagine any other way of life.
“They all want to start businesses “someday.”
That’s the problem with other teens these days, they want money but don’t want to start working for it.
Yeah, and starting a business is uncomfortable. I’m finding that getting young people out of their comfort zone is the biggest hurdle. Once they get started, they’ll realize that it’s a lot of hard work, but most of the kids in my classes are eager to stick with it.
Starting with the high schoolers – that is a problem most have regardless of how old they are! Its great to hear your stats – gives us something to strive for! Well done – looking forward to my own launch!
Hey Edward! I know entrepreneurship is hard for all of us, but it seems like teens are especially hard-wired for going to college, getting a job, and maybe doing what they’re passionate about later in their lives.
Good luck. When’s your launch?
I agree with you, Zach! Probably, because they’re used to getting things right away and if they pre-judged things might be complicated, they immediately back off. But I think, with this launch of 14clicks, many young aspiring entrepreneurs will be motivated to start their own business. Good job Nick!
Thanks, Aybi! I appreciate your confidence. I’m excited for it. Have lots of plans for 14clicks that’ll take a few years to work through.

Nick,
I went over to 14clicks.com, between these two sites you have given us invaluable information, common sense approaches to starting a business and encouragement which is often so lacking for anyone (any age) to start living their dreams. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Yeah, I’m starting a business right now at the age of 18. I have to say that it’s tough, having all of that doubt and not being sure if your business will actually succeed. But I’m going to give it a shot. My plan is to keep working on it until I graduate university and if it’s successful I’ll I might continue it full time but if it isn’t I’ll still have a sweet job as an engineer. In 4 years time I’ll see…
Hey Moogah! That’s what every student should be doing. Thank you.
